Profil of specialization
In the field of system dynamics, we deal with the modelling, simulation, control and optimization of medical technology applications. To this end, we work together with doctors and various medical technology companies.
Modern medical devices record a large number of measurement signals electronically. Functions of medical devices can be controlled electronically. The methods of system dynamics can contribute in many ways to improving such devices and making their use more ergonomic or safer.
Many medical measuring devices provide the doctor with data that is difficult to interpret diagnostically and contains measurement artifacts. Mathematical models can be used to detect and remove measurement artifacts and process the measurement data to improve its diagnostic quality.
Mathematical models can also be used to design optimized control or regulation for surgical instruments or to develop instruments that would not be possible without complex control or regulation.
