On 8 Febraury 2024 students of the IFSW (within the framework of the „Förderkreis für sehr gute Studierende“) and students attending the lectures on Material Processing with Lasers, Fundamentals of Lasers and Lasers in Manufacturing had the unique opportunity to visit the company Trumpf in Ditzingen. On that day, interesting presentations on laser technology were given and the latest developments were shown.
Afterwards the students were able to visit the application laboratory for additive manufacturing and the customer centre for material processing and experienced exciting live insights during the ongoing production. Finally, Mr Bannmüller (CEO TRUMPF Laser- and Systemtechnik AG), Mr Blaich (Head of Production) and Mr Zöller (Head of Software Development BC Systems) were available to answer any questions the students had, including those relating to start a career at Trumpf.
